I've had this place on my to-go list for several months but I rarely make it down to Parma. Today, I stopped in with my girlfriend and boy, is this place exceptional. First off, the owner is great and you can tell he cares a lot about his kitchen and his food. If you get a sandwich, get a side of the au jus for dipping and sipping. It's rich and deep in flavor and like everything on the menu, made from scratch with love. It is, after all, his namesake and it's amazing. I had the Trifecta, which is a massive Chicago style beef sandwich with sausage. It's amazing and overwhelming in a good way. Definitely able to feed you for two meals. The flavor is amazing, from the perfectly prepared in-house roast beef to the nicely spiced peppers and the fennel-forward sausage, all topped with great quality cheese. I asked for a blend of provolone and Swiss and it suited the flavor profile well. Every bite was eye rolling, savory perfection. I'm not going to say anything further other than this is probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

I was pleasantly surprised with how great the regular Italian beef sandwich was! Jacob made sure I was aware of all of the options, which were great additions to the sandwich. The sandwich was HUGE and I thought "there's no way I'm going to eat all of that." I was wrong- it was THAT good!

This place has been sitting on the food section of my bucket list for quite some time. The hype was loud! They say Au Jus is the best place to get a Chicago Italian beef, and I’d never had one before. So, it only seemed right to see what all the hype was about. Today was the day. I ordered onlineβ€”easy peasy. They offer curbside service, and I initially selected that. However, once I arrived, I decided to go inside and check the place out. The building was clean, and I was greeted by a friendly employee. The sub… a regular-sized sandwich is HUGE! I can eat, and even I thought it was a lot. There was definitely no shortage there. I ordered mine β€œdry.” The meat was incredibly tender and juicy. I tried the au jus, but honestly, it didn’t even need it. I definitely plan to return to try the Cuban and a couple of their other menu items. I’ll update this review after I do. Update: The Cuban was another first for me, and I absolutely LOVED this sammie! It was so fresh.

Things said by myself & my brother after leaving Au Jus: β€œI would dip my arm in this au jus & eat it.” β€œI seriously just feel happy. In a good mood after that.” β€œThis hit the spot harder than our trip to Wario’s”. This blew us away. I had the spicy trifecta w/ provolone. Just wonderful. Fries & onion rings were also wonderful. An easy 5 stars. This sandwich is so much bigger than it looks in this photo. Had to weigh over a pound easily.

Jakob is a legend and one of the nicer guys you'll meet! His passion definitely comes through and you can taste in his work. And his sandwiches are even more legendary. Today I got the Reuben, and it's probably the best Reuben I've ever had. It's not your typical Reuben that everybody else serves on rye with boiled corned beef, he takes the time to slow roast and it is amazing tender and super moist. My buddy also got the Italian beef and texted his friends who live in Chicago as he was eating his sandwich letting them know they need to get to Cleveland (Parma) asap to get a sando.
